Follow Up – Executives in Healthcare Breakfast Event – RACMA 2016 Brisbane

Following the Litmus Solutions Executive Breakfast at this year’s RACMA Brisbane conference, we have received extremely positive feedback by all accounts, thank you to all who attended and those who asked for follow up information.

Both Michael Walsh and Michael Murray – Managing Director from Litmus Solutions highlighted the importance that technology plays in the data capturing process and its necessity in the decisions on workforce planning and delivery within healthcare. The discussion theme focused on the famous saying “without data you are just another person with an opinion” and the direct importance this has in the current fiscal environment.

An insightful presentation from Director General of Queensland Health Michael Walsh provided the attendees with an opportunity to discuss QLD Health’s conscious and direct transitional strategy towards advanced reporting and analytics, and how this change is leading towards more commercially viable outcomes within human capital and other areas of executive decision making.

Michael Murray – Managing Director for Litmus Solutions gave key client examples of assumptions vs factual scenarios around financial and headcount analytics, including the outcomes of assessing the data and the plan that was implemented.  A focus was also given to the healthcare industries reputation for lagging far behind other leading markets and how early adoption of workforce analytics has proven successful in competing industries.

Examples of the data and reporting Litmus creates for our public healthcare clients resonated extremely well with the delegates, as most of the audience face similar challenges of not having the analytical tools to create oversight of daily operations and expenditure.

We sincerely thank Michael Walsh for making the time to not only give his views on the medical workforce and data, but his also his openness and honesty during the Q&A session.

A final thank you to all those attended and took part in the Executive Breakfast. For those who were unable to attend, Litmus would welcome any further discussions around this important theme and the work currently in place in the Australasian public healthcare market.
